The summarry of the <<Pride and prejudice>>

The main story of the film happens between Elizabeth Bennet and Darcy. Although, it seems that, they haven』t attracted anyone』s eyes. I mean that nobody has thought that love will exist between they two. Because almost everyone has heart of the complaint from their mouths about the other. So it is not surprise to see the father become so amazed when Lizzy says that she loves Darcy. But what』s the reason? What has stopped them from getting together at first? It』s price and prejudice. We all know that at the first ball, when Lizzy asked Mr Darcy to have a dance. He refused. He didn』t think that anyone at the village can deserve him. After this, Lizzy promised not to pay attention to him any more because of his pride.
There are another two things that make the impression of the hero worse on the herion. One is that she thinks it』s him he that had separated her sister and her lover. The second is that she heard of something bad ,fabricated by Wickham who has antinomies with Darcy. These make the feeling of prejudice stronger and stronger.
At last, when everything comes to light Lizzy regretted. She found that she had misunderstood him. And darcy has although changed . Not proud at all. He made an offer of marriage to her again and was accepted. No pride and no prejudice between each other.

⑵ 傲慢與偏見的英語影評

Pride and Prejudice, one of Jane Austen』s most famous novels, tells us a story about love and marriage. In this novel, the hero Mr Darcy and the heroin Elizabeth fall in love with each other. But they don』t realize it or we can say that they don』t want to admit it because Mr Darcy is so elegant and pride that it gives Elizabeth a false image that the man is not worth loving. But later, after witnessing the tragedy of her sister』s marriage,Elizabeth begins to view Mr Darcy in a more reasonable way. And also,Mr Darcy has realized that he is too elegant and begins to change. At last, the two persons express their feelings to each other and creat a legend of love.

「It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.」 ,and it is the first sentence of this novel. I think it perfectly reflcets the belief of people of that time. At that time, people think that marriage is about money and social status, not only about love. So people in this novel such as Mr and Mrs Bennet are eager to marry their daughters to Mr Bingley who is very rich. I think Jane Austen wrote this novel not because she wanted to show people an inviting story about love, but because she wanted to reflect some social problems. Jane Austen wanted to tell people that marrige is the result of love, and money or social status should not be the obstacles of marriage. People have the freedom of loving whoever they love and don』t need to care about any other things. So this novel is worth reading because Jane said something that other people didn』t say and she was a fighter against the unreasonable tradition.

If people say that they love this novel because they love the plot of the story, then I should say that the story is so boring and it has never gotten rid of the routine of love story. In my opinion,I am a person who love books that tell about the legends of great people. So I found that this story just tells about the trivial things about love. Some problems in this novel can hardly be true problems. Jane Austen dealed with some problems in woman』s sentimental view. So I think this novel is not suitable for a man to read.

⑶ 傲慢與偏見影評英文

《傲慢與偏見》電影的英文觀後感:

Elizabeth Bennett (Keira Knightley) is the second of five daughters, all single and young. When a new man moves into the neighborhood, all of the girls take notice. Mr. Bingley is quite rich and handsome enough, after all. At the first large party for area folks, Mr. Bingley comes to the festivity with his sister and the proud Mr. Darcy in toe. Bingley has his eye on Elizabeth's beautiful sister Jane while Mr. Darcy neither dances or talks to anyone. Although unacknowledged, however, Mr. Darcy is transfixed by Elizabeth and she is strangely drawn to him. Through a series of town meetings, country visits, and more, Elizabeth and Darcy meet again...and again. There is something stirring. Is is disgust or is it love?

This classic story could not be presented better than it is this film. It is utterly lovely in every aspect, every way. The performers are just outstanding, with Knightley giving Elizabeth the fire, the mind, the sensitivity that make her such an appealing person. Mr. McF is to sigh and cry over as his Darcy is handsome, in possession of a arresting voice, and provides a display of the great depth of his own sensitive nature. The costumes and scenery are colossally stunning, as is the editing, the script (most of it is Austen's own words), and anything else that makes a movie this beautiful. Do not let another day go by before you buy a ticket or arrange any other method to watch this film.

Pride & Prejudice (2005) 英文觀後感:

I enjoyed the movie very much. I did not think I would as I loved the BBC series with Colin Firth. The movie is a lot shorter but the story was well done. Mathew McFadden was brilliant as Mr Darcy. I would have liked to see him in more scenes. He is a very talented actor. Knightley was very good in the role as Elizabeth, but her costumes were a bit drab most of the time. Judie Dench was brilliant as she always is. Donald Sunderland was excellent. The locations are beautiful and the music. Tom Hollander was great as Mr Collins. He brought humour to the roll. I have watched the movie several times and I will watch it again.

Many people simply regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters. The characters have their own personalities. Mrs. Bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. Mr. Bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, Mr. Darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. Even the five daughters in Bennet family are very different. Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. Mary likes reading classic books. (Actually she is a pedant.) Kitty doesn』t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, Lydia. Lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. When I read the book, I can always find the same personalities in the society now. That is why I think this book is indeed the representative of the society in Britain in the 18th century.

The family of gentleman in the countryside is Jane Austen』s favourite topic. But this little topic can reflect big problems. It concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in Britain in her century. You can find these from the very beginning of this book.
The first sentence in this book is impressive. It reads: 「It is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife」. The undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession.
People always think that Austen was an expert at telling love stories. In fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. After reading this book, I know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man.
I couldn』t forget how eager Mrs. Bennet wants to marry off her daughters. If you want to know why she is so crazy about these things, I must mention the situation in Britain at that time. Only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting his father』s possessions. Younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. Thus, we can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions. Jane Austen told us that money and possession determined everything, including marriage and love in her century.
In 「Pride and Prejudice」, the sister of Mr. Bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying Jane because the Bennets don』t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. From this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marry a wealthy husband. The society, the relatives would not allow them to get married.
In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of 「money determines everything」 is still rooted in some people』s mind. A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children』s marriages. Ecation background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one』s marriage. Marry for money is still a big problem in our society. We can』t help thinking: can money determine everything?
Austen left this problem for us to think. The genius of Jane Austen lies in this perfect simplicity, the simplicity that reflects big problems. Although Austen was only 21 when she wrote 「Pride and Prejudice」, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. The plots in her works are always very natural. The development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. I think the depth of Pride and Prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. Today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.

⑺ 傲慢與偏見 英文讀後感 500字

seems to be the perpetual theme all over the world. But actually what is love? For most girls in 20s, love may mean everything to them. They seek for love bravely no matter what difficulties they may face. In their eyes, love is pure or even holy. However, those are just an ideal situation, n real life; people tend to find a balance between love and property.
Pride and prejudice is Austin』s great work. Through the discussion of the different marriages and love, the writer demonstrates her concept about love and marriage: love and marriage is closely associated with property and society, however, love and marriage can not only be decided by the property and social status. An ideal marriage should be based on mutual affection, respect and the same interest. She rejects the marriage based only on wealth.
Different people have different ideas upon marriage. By the description and discussion of the four marriages in the novel, we can see that Austen fully expresses her views on love and marriage. Only by appreciating the marriage founded on the basis of mutual understanding and true love, but also by satirizing the marriage founded on the basis of origin and desire.
The marriage based on social position and money can』t bring happiness in life. Aimless marriage and love are unpractical.
Everything goes wrong for poor couples. Marriage based on wealth is not a fault. At least, it can offer us a better condition of life. Property is not everything in the life but without it, we can do nothing. This is called reality. But if you only married for wealth, you sell your liberty. The rest of your life might be miserable, and your marriage will filled with endless bitterness.

⑻ 傲慢與偏見英語讀後感

Pride and Prejudice is the most enringly popular novel written by Jane Austen. It talks about trivial matters of love, marriage and family life between country squires and fair ladies in Britain in the 18th century. The plot is very simple. That is how the young ladies choose their husbands. Someone said that 「Elizabeth Bennet, the protagonist of the novel, flatly rejected William Collins』 proposal, who is the heir of her father』s property and manor, and refused the first proposal from the extremely wealthy nobleman Fitzwilliam Darcy later,」(1) all this makes it clear that Elizabeth 「seeks no fame nor fortune, but self-improvement and high mental outlook.」(1) It』s right. From the view point of Austen, Elizabeth』s marriage, who finally marries Darcy, as well as Jane-Bingley』s, composing money and love, is the ideal marriage people should after. But in other marriage cases in this novel, we can see that if money and love can』t be held together in one marriage, love would always make a concession to money because of the special social background. After reading through the whole book, we will find that money acts as the cause of each plot and the clue of its development. It affects everybody』s words and deeds, even Elizabeth Bennet. Tony Tanner once said, 「Jane Austen, as well as other authors, is very clear that no feeling could be extremely pure and no motive could be definitely single. But as long as it is possible, we should make it clear that which feeling or motive plays the leading role.」 (2)
The story of Pride and Prejudice took place in the time of the Regency in Britain. At that time, Britain was at the period of transition from the earlier stage of Capitalism to Capitalist Instrialization. In the countryside, the aristocratic family still held great power and right that country squires were likely to fawn upon them. However, as the development of Capitalism and the expand of the rank of rich people, the distinction between social strata was becoming smaller and smaller, while money was getting more and more important in people』s mind about social value. A western literature critic once said that 「 even David Ricardo (a British economist) had a unlikely clearer understanding about the function of money in daily life as Jane Austen had.」(3) It is exactly because of the secure pledge in finance that the country squire society could be existing strongly and solidly.

The first sentence of the whole novel proclaims, 「It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.」(4) Here, 「a good fortune」 and 「in want of」 are two key phrases. 「in want of」 means it is needed objectively, but not subjectively. Such kind of wording makes the proposition have more objectivity of 「truth」. In Pride and Prejudice, the Bennets are taken as the typical to test the 「truth universally acknowledged」.
Mr. and Mrs. Bennet have five daughters, living at Longbourn. Mr. Bennet』s property consists almost entirely in an estate of two thousand pounds a year, which, unfortunately for his daughters, is entailed, in default of heirs male, on a distant relation. That means there will be no other guarantee for their daughters』 future lives, but their perspective marriages. Therefore, it is no wonder that Mrs. Bennet takes Mr. Bingley as 「the rightful property」(5) for their daughters when she hears about that he has one hundred thousand pounds property, though she has not even seen him – 「A single man of large fortune; four or five thousand a year. What a fine thing for our girls!」(6)

⑼ 求英文的傲慢與偏見觀後感 200~300個詞。

When Hollywood adapts, we get Bewitched and The Dukes of Hazzard. When the British film instry adapts, we get Shakespeare and Austen. This explains why there is another version of Pride & Prejudice to be digested. And, while nothing will come close to matching the 1995 BBC-TV version, Joe Wright's 2005 adaptation is arguably the best Pride & Prejudice one can make with a two-hour time limit. Kudos to screenwriter Deborah Moggach (and her uncredited script doctor, Emma Thompson) for selecting the perfect cuts to Austen's novel without gutting the heart and themes or making the proction seem rushed. While I'll stop short of calling this movie "magical," I have no problem labeling it as very good.

Anyone who has interest in the movie probably knows the story, so I'll keep the recap short. Pride & Prejudice tells of the romance between the smart, sassy Elizabeth Bennet (Kiera Knightley) and the handsome, reticent Mr. Darcy (Matthew MacFadyen). At their initial meeting, they leave mutually unfavorable impressions but, as events continually bring them together, their opinions change. Darcy falls first, then hamstrings himself with an insulting marriage proposal. But, as he makes amends, Elizabeth finds herself falling for him.

The book contains numerous sublplots, all of which have either been truncated or eliminated for this version. The relationship between Mr. Bingley (Simon Woods) and Jane Bennet (Rosamund Pike) remains, but in a condensed form, and only because it is necessary to the fabric of the central love story. Also suffering greatly is the character of Wickham (Rupert Friend), who appears in only two scenes. (I never liked him or that aspect of the novel, anyway.) The impact of Wickham's character (running off with Lydia Bennet, then marrying her after Darcy buys him off) is more important than his presence. Most of the rest of Pride & Prejudice is left intact, and much of Austen's dialogue is retained. Wright and Moggach add an epilogue that may annoy Austen purists - it's not from the book, but it's in keeping with Austen's style and represents a good way to conclude the film. (Although I daresay no one would take such liberties with one of Shakepeare's plays.)

Kiera Knightley makes a dazzling Lizzie, on par with Jennifer Ehle's interpretation
