I went begrudgingly to see this film with my daughter. It was not on my list of films to see but she insisted. Knowing that it was a Disney proct only made me dread it more. The schlock they try to pass off as good films these days is ridiculous. The only up-side I could see was the director, Frank Marshall. He has proced some of my favorite films. Let's see what he can do behind the camera.
Pleasantly surprised I think is a good term for my reaction. Although the film was about 20 minutes too long, it did sustain the action and drama all the way through. I knew the basics of the story: a team at a base in Antartica must evacuate and cannot take the sled dogs with them. Winter sets in and the dogs are forced to survive on their own in the brutal cold for months.
The dogs are very entertaining and their scenes with the science team are warm and amusing, even thrilling. Where I expected the film to fail was after the humans and dogs separate. Amazingly though, this is where the Mr. Marshall seemed to kick it into gear. Watching the opposing scenes unfold of the guilt-ridden Paul Walker frantically trying to find anyone to help him get back down to the Antartic, interlaced with the Huskies who are struggling through the rough winter, scrounging for food and defending each other from predators, was very emotional.
While the film is a grade A survival pic, I hadn't expected it to be such a tear-jerker. Be forewarned. Although the human performances (Paul Walker, Bruce Greenwood and the necessary romantic lead, Moon Bloodgood) were mediocre at best, the canine actors really do steal your heart.

電影《荒島餘生》觀後感
曾經早有耳聞 但一直沒看過 今天才欣賞 勵志的典型
不得不欽佩湯姆漢克斯的老辣演技,整部影片基本就是一個人的獨角戲,當年奧斯卡的評委沒能再給個小金人,而給了羅素克勞,應該也有某種拉平衡的意願了。
雖然題材不足以新穎,商業痕跡過於明顯(但看了資料說聯邦和威爾遜都沒有贊助一分錢,也著實很詫異),但絲毫不降低本片的品質和觀賞度。

《世貿中心》觀後感
大概很多人看完電影的感覺,都是「感動是感動了,不過總是覺得有些遺憾,或者說不滿足」。(當然也有很多人是徹底無聊了一場,白白浪費了時間和金錢。)且先不論電影品質的好壞,電影選取的是911事件真實的一部分或者說是一個側面,來表現導演對整個事件的一種觀點和想法,這是否就是大眾理解這一事件的最佳切入點,這就是一個超越電影本身而又值得探討的問題了。換句話說,就是對大眾來說,在這樣一部反映「911」事件的電影中,你期望看到什麼?顯然,對中國廣大的觀眾來說,斯通的《世貿中心》並不能滿足。
你期望看到:如同新聞或者記錄片中那樣,飛機撞大樓和大樓轟然倒塌的大場面在電影中通過特技得到真實和震撼的展現?不管你是看熱鬧也好,還是想自己也身臨其境也好,那你都要失望了。在這部電影里,沒有飛機撞向大樓的驚險一刻甚至都沒有飛機的身影,只有飛機掠過在市區的投影、頗遠處撞擊爆炸時感覺的震動和冒煙的大樓;沒有大樓轟然倒塌的一瞬,只有埋在底下的警察的間接感覺。影片如此明顯的「避重就輕」,大概是讓人不滿的原因之一吧。不論觀眾的意圖為何,那作為電影人,要表現自己和電影的真誠,應該真誠和勇敢的來面對和表現真實的歷史事件。這一點在很大程度上不錯,但並不意味著每一次都要去揭痛傷疤。曾經的噩夢又何必再一次去展現,特別是對那些親歷過的人們來說。這里並不是說遺忘,或者逃避,反思和教育並不在於那一瞬間的畫面,更何況你已經早早的、全面的都看到過了。
如果你期望看到襲擊下的人們,他們的驚恐、絕望、求生本能等等人性百態,恐怕你又要失望了。影片中最刺激的畫面,大概就是有人從樓上飛躍而下了。但顯然,對被襲擊者的表現甚少,完全沒有電視新聞來的「精彩」。如同上面講的,在影片中,導演沒有對事件進行藝術化的誇張和提煉,反而是可以說刻意的淡化了。這樣做如果處理的好的話,可以達到同樣的效果,甚至可以有「無聲勝有聲」的更高境界(但導演處理的並不完美,這在下面再說)。但這樣的處理,對普通觀眾來說是不小的打擊。因為普通觀眾看災難片(當然《世》片不是典型的災難片),無疑就是看兩點:一是由特效再現的災難,二是災難下的人們。前者滿足視覺享受,後者為大眾單調的情感補鈣。尤其後者,人最想看到的還是人,但想看的又不是自己經歷的平凡和瑣碎,所以很少人經歷過的才吸引人。海枯石爛的愛情,災難下的善惡,以及求生的本能和刺激,《泰坦尼克》、《龍卷風》、《火燒摩天樓》等都是如此。但象「911」這樣敏感而重大的事件,顯然不能象普通商業片那樣來處理。細化到本片來說,又關繫到導演個人的思想和藝術表達方式了。
你大概還期望看到在這樣的災難下,那些英雄們的英勇表現吧。你看到了自願往樓里沖的警察,看到放棄工作自願來救助的前海軍陸戰隊員,看到不顧自己生命危險鑽入廢墟的營救人員,看到在廢墟上排起長隊運送傷員的各色人等,但這些都不是重點。影片最著重表現是兩個沖進大樓,但什麼都還沒干就被倒塌的大樓掩埋了的警察。他們是英雄嗎?當然!他們是地到的英雄。但如果是要表現「英雄本色」,顯然有更多更合適的人選,比如損失最大的消防員,或者那些真正參與到救險中犧牲的人們。那為什麼是他們呢?因為導演要表現的不是「英雄」,而是「人」。真正純粹的人,不論是什麼職業、什麼身份,不論是救人、還是等待被救,不論是在現場第一線、還是在別處震驚或焦急等待。
於是,導演要表現的,不是「英雄」,不是還原最真實的歷史,不是揭露人性百態,而是「人」。從最本質的人的角度,去看待和再現那一場無法忘懷的災難。而又因為要表現「人」,所以導演在影片中要淡化那些對人起到「定義」和「限制」的其它元素。但要想讓其它元素對「人」不產生任何影響又是不可能的。更何況在這樣一個重大事件里,可以表現的又值得表現的方面實在太多,這又讓導演無法完全避免,甚至可以說讓導演自己都無法放棄。於是,一方面的無法舍棄,和另一方面導演的努力舍棄,導致了影片的相對平淡,和處處點到為止的尷尬。
【綠里奇跡】觀後感
「人之初,性本善;性相近,習相遠」,我們和我們的祖先們從小就受這種最為根本的人性教育,這12個字成為我們和我們的祖先認知世界與社會的基礎,成為被我們奉為理學經典的儒家學派的核心內容;我們大家剛生下來的瞬間,本性都是善良的,大多數人的腦海里這句話是根深蒂固的,但是有沒有人想過,人臨死的那一瞬間,「品性」是否也是善良的呢?
個人認為,《綠里奇跡》這部電影就是在探討這個問題。一個關押死刑犯的監獄,被關在這里的犯人都是犯了死罪的,不久的將來要「駕鶴西遊」,我們可以理解為陰界與陽界的交接點,作為一個交界點,按照常理這個點的關系會比較復雜,就像兩國邊境會成為走私與販毒的場所,兩省交界是逃犯的聚集地,城鄉交界點是社會邊緣人物的天下一樣,作為陰陽的交界點,這里自然會有善男信女,也會有牛鬼蛇神,那個討厭的獄警Percy,與那個後來出現無惡不作的「Wild Bill」就是牛鬼蛇神中的代表人物,從另一個角度去看這兩個壞蛋一個是警察一個是罪犯,無形中說明一個問題——作為本片中的兩個階級:統治階級與被統治階級都有壞蛋。在這個只有高低貴賤之分,沒有善惡美醜之別的小社會體系下,低賤的階級最終會一個一個走向死亡,高貴的階級會像中國古代傳說中的「牛頭馬面」所做的工作一樣,把每個倒霉的低賤的靈魂送往另一個世界。想想看這是一個多麼黑暗與無望的過程。
直到有一天,一個「天使」的出現。但是這個天使不像西方傳統意義上說的天使有著雪白的肌膚,均勻的體態,氣質的臉龐,穿著白衣緩緩飄來;而是一個皮膚黝黑,身體健碩,面目猙獰,一身「勞動服」的壯漢。請你不要不相信眼前的情景,因為本片的片名翻譯成《綠里奇跡》不是一點道理沒有的,「奇跡」兩個字就從這個「黑色天使」開始。他的來到,打破了這個陰陽交界點的原有秩序,最起碼,剛來的時候統治階級都對這個黑天使的健壯體魄感到畏懼,後來發生的事情與其說徹底打破了這個「黑暗與無望」社會的秩序還不如說「黑天使」用自己的行動感化了統治階級與被統治階級,讓他們明白了一個道理——無論你處在什麼階級,無論你還能活多長時間,「性亦善」!「黑天使」幫助湯姆漢克斯扮演的監獄領班治好了折磨他好久的尿道炎,幫助看守海爾醫好他身患絕症的妻子美琳達,幫助逗鼠獄友德拉克使他的寵物老鼠「金格先生」起死回生;當然他也沒有讓那兩個牛鬼蛇神的代表逍遙法外,他讓不管犯人死活,那犯人尋開心的獄警Percy重溫了「人之初」的懵懂,讓他進了精神病院;讓那個連環殺人犯「Wild Bill」慘死獄中。「黑天使」在本片中不僅僅是一個人,也不僅僅是一個神,他更像是那個西天取經回來的唐三藏,他把人們本應該在平時體現出來但是又因為「習相遠」的緣故遺忘的做人准則用身體力行的方式帶回給眾生,重鑄那「人之末,性亦善」的人性准則。
這里有片一英里長的綠地,人們叫它「綠里」。不過,它的居民皆為死囚,在綠地的另一頭,便是行刑用的電椅。本片之所以叫《綠里奇跡》,可以說是自從黑天使的到來,每個走到「綠里」那頭的靈魂都得到了人性的升華,不論是囚犯還是警察,這不得不說是一個「奇跡」啊!當看到黑天使離我們而去的時候,無限傷感湧上心頭,為這個悲劇的結尾惋惜,但是影片最後並不是一個悲劇的結尾,黑天使把自己的超能力傳個了湯姆漢克斯扮演的獄警和那隻老鼠「金格先生」,讓他們長生不老,希望獄警可以把這個真實的故事講給更多的人聽,把「人之末,性亦善」的道理讓更多人明白,而「金格先生」就是這個故事最有利的活證據。

欣賞老湯的演技,他的片子給我的印象是代表了美國的「主旋律」。也許對美國這樣一個不是很強調意識形態對立、提倡多元文化的國家使用「主旋律」一詞有些欠妥,畢竟拿一個傻阿甘來概括美利堅的民族性難免有穿鑿之嫌。但不管怎麼說,老湯扮演的角色們有一種共同的特質:近似愚魯的執著與樂觀,這種特質難道不正是山姆大叔幽默感的來源嗎?
同樣《荒島餘生》中的恰克也時不時地拿他的幽默感在觀眾面前整蠱。他會從大洋彼岸寄給自己一個鬧鍾,為懶散的俄國員工布他「時間就是金錢」的道;他也會在百無聊賴時為他的WILSON精心「化裝」,同這位排球「老第」侃大山。總之這位「現實的理想主義者」如老湯以往的角色一樣即可愛又可笑。
關於影片劇情就不廢話了,大致就是一現代版的《魯濱遜漂流記》。主人公恰克出差途中飛機失事墜入海中,大難不死,漂流到一座孤島上,開始了魯濱遜式的四年生活。看似老套的劇情,觀影過程中卻讓人絲毫不會有嚼蠟之感。原因很簡單:時代背景變了。不再是那個學院派口中代表了「處於上升期的資產階級」的魯濱遜,而是一個平凡的美國中產,一個貌似很有名氣的FEDEXP的兢兢業業的雇員。
影片從整體上看似乎是一則關於時間的寓言。恰克前後生活在兩個世界,日常生活中他是典型的工作狂,為了事業甚至可以犧牲同未婚妻相聚的美好時光。影片很好地利用了FEDEXP這一噱頭(這里並沒有什麼商業成分,fedexp並沒有付給製片方一分錢),作為郵遞行業的巨頭,FEDEXP擁有與生俱來的對效率的敏感與追求。這種環境下的主人變成了時間的吸血鬼,周圍的一切似乎都從屬於時間。
一場意外的飛行事故使恰克體驗了另一種生活,在荒島上,原先文明社會中不值一提的小事卻需要花費大量的時間完成。採集露水、捕蟹、碎木取火……用一種毫無效率的方式滿足最基本的生活需求,想來真是要人命。然而恰克所能做的只有望洋興嘆,和他的WILSON一道磨陽光。
一件小東西貫穿了影片的兩個世界——女友凱莉送給他懷表。表本身含有時間的意義,這一意象作為定情信物象徵了恰克觀念中生活與時間的不可分離性,從一定意義上講,時間甚至就是整個生活。飛機墜落前恰克拼勁全力拾取掉在地上的懷表,不知是承擔愛情的責任還是試圖挽回即將失去掌控的時間?也許愛情也是時間的一部分,壞掉的懷表預示恰克最終不能得到這份愛情。最終恰克回到原先的世界,物是人非,凱莉已成為別人的妻子。他一臉失落卻無可奈何,畢竟女友不可能等一個「死人」,她有屬於自己的時間。
影片中有一個「四年後」的場景轉換,看似突兀實則理所當然。相比於高速運轉的文明社會,島上的時間彷彿是凝固的。日復一日面對藍天海水,沒有改變,沒有激情。恰克像孫猴子似的遊了回「天界」,卻不知「天上一日,地下一年」,人間滄海桑田,在別人眼裡他早已成為了死人。其實四年又是何等之長,據說海上搜救有一個「黃金72小時」,超過時限搜救難度加大,往往就會終止搜救行動,這無疑是宣判了「死刑」。原來人的生命只也不過抵得上這72小時啊!
通過觀影,似乎能體驗到時間維度的維克多·特納式的儀式性交融。從現代性社會時間的結構到非文明社會的的反結構。並不是說後者否定了前者,而是通過這種體驗讓我們進行反思,探討對時間的不同感受與人類社會需求的復雜關系,以及人的趨利性與自我異化的本質矛盾。
伏爾泰在小說《查第格》中記敘一段故事:一個名叫查第格的人在比武中獲勝了,他如能解答祭司們的謎語,就會被選作國王,謎語是:「世界上哪樣東西是最長的, 又是最短的;最快的又是最慢的;最能分割的又是最廣大的;最不受重視的又是最受惋惜的;沒有它什麼事都做不成;它使一切渺小的東西歸於消滅,使一切偉大的東西生命不絕?」查第格回答道:「最長的莫過於時間,因為它永無窮盡;最短的也莫過於時間,因為我們所有的計劃都來不及完成;在等待的人,時間是最慢的,在作樂的人,時間是最快的;它可以擴展到無窮大,也可以分割到無窮小;當時誰也不加重視,過後誰都表示惋惜;沒有它,什麼事都做不成;不值得後世紀念的, 它都令人忘懷;偉大的,它都使他們永垂不朽。」時間就是這樣鬼魅,也難怪恰克對她如此著迷。
