5. 電影劇本里的英文術語都是什麼意思

電影劇本正文里，
首頁左上角會出現 IN （淡入），
末頁右下角會出現FADE OUT （淡出）。
中間的轉場，常用的有CUT TO/ DISSOLVE TO/ FADE TO，根據不同轉場方式決定寫哪一個。

場景標題（scene heading/slugline）中，
EXT.表示Exterior（外景），INT.表示Interior（內景），EXT./INT.後面寫的是某個具體地點。
DAY表示白天，NIGHT表示夜晚。
INTERCUT表示某場景的情節在兩個不同的地點同時發生，需要進行鏡頭交切。
FLASHBACK表示閃回，閃回段落結束後會有END FLASHBACK.

角色對話中，出現在括弧里的詞屬於對話的輔助性描寫（parenthetical instructions）。

常用的有(beat)，表示故事節奏上的變化，通常是對話中的停頓；(pause)，表示對話中的停頓。
(in French/German/Chinese...)表示該角色說的是某一種外語，但劇本里用英文寫出來；
(English subtitles)表示這段外語對話會加上英文字幕。

出現在頁尾的(MORE)，表示本頁最後一個角色的話沒講完，到下一頁繼續；
(CONT'D)，即Continued，用於該角色上一頁的話沒講完時，或者同一頁中該角色的話被某個動作/狀況打斷時，表示對話繼續。
(O.S.)，即Off Screen，表示角色在該場景中出現，但觀眾看不到他/她，只能聽見他/她的聲音。
(V.O.)，即Voiceover，表示角色在該場景中並沒有實際出現，但觀眾可以從場景中的電話/收音機等設備里聽見他/她的聲音；(V.O.)也同樣用於角色的內心獨白/解說。

SERIES OF SHOTS和MONTAGE都表示把一系列鏡頭/畫面排列組合起來，從而避免使用過多的場景標題。

I first investigated about how he lives, and killed him on the 15th. I swiftly dealed with the scene and took away his cell phone. I'm a drug pusher, ain't I? This is enough to earn me an execution. I need to escape immediately.

I hid the corpse, and thought that after one week it would be very difficult to estimate the postmortem interval. I invited his girlfriend out, without letting her see my face (sixty eight), so that the police would think that he was killed on the 16th.
