Even wanted to travel to the center of the earth? I am sure not many would have even thought of this. If it is travelling to a different country especially a popular tourist destination then I am sure all people will be willing. Even if it is a popular shopping destination for example like the Du Shopping Festival or the Malaysia Mega Sale I am sure you will find many takers. Even space travel will fascinate most of us and you will find lots of takers on making a trip to outer space. However, going to the center of the earth, no way would be most people’s first thought. Well you can make this journey quite safely with the new movie “Journey To The Center Of The Earth” with Brendan Fraser for company. What’s exciting about this movie is that it’s in 3D and while it is based on Jules Verne popular book there are deviations in it with creatures like dinosaurs, piranhas, man eating plants (yeah like Peter Jackson’s King Kong) and most will leap out at you this being a 3D movie. The storyline/plot is weak, but the 3D special effects will certainly get the ball rolling. Being in India I will have to wait a while before being able to catch the movie, but if you can then do watch it and let me know how it turns out. I remember as a kid my mom telling me that people g the earth to get to its center, but then stopped and gave up when they heard screams emanating from below and they were convinced they had stumbled upon hell and the screams were of the tormented inhabitants of hell. Later on I learnt that the Russians had indeed started to dig ring the cold war to get to the center of the earth and even here there were rumors about screams being heard and the Russians giving up on the dig because they too believed they had stumbled onto hell, but the truth it turns out was that the rocks were so hot they kept melting and fusing the holes so the dig could not progress and the Russians had to call it a day. The latest news is that the Japanese are planning to dig to the center of the earth and they are planning to do it at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean since the area there is only about 6 miles thick. Let’s see what comes of their dig. Till then we have to rely on Brendan Fraser taking us on a Journey To The Center Of The Earth.

It was just sooooo great! So much fun, too!! It's like every high school musical theater junkie's dream. Everyone was just excellent and the directing was superb. And I love the message this movie sends to young minds, that you explore other facets of expression other than the one that's socially acceptable. And I love the little undertones and subtleties throughout the film. And I love how all the tough mean hard guys are CLEARLY dancers in real life. I was muy impressed!! Everything and everyone was perfect. From the clothes, casting, choreography, sets.... it all looks like a dream. And in beautiful clear New Mexico. Who could want anything more!

I have seen this movie easily a half a dozen times, and I find that the beauty of the film is how Forrest Gump not only shares his innocence and purity with others, including the audience, he also manages to retain that innocence and purity through some very difficult times. As a Viet Nam veteran, and a college graate of the late Sixties, I could of course personally relate to the various periods that Forrest Gump enres. I would only mention that the skillful and seamless blending of music, action, and period costume was enthralling. And yet it was so perfectly understated that Forrest Gump's travels through thirty five years of the stormiest and most meaningful years of American history only became clearly defined for the viewer. Even more so than the well known chocolates quote as a metaphor for life, I felt that the remark that stupid is what you do is probably more workable for most of us.

The folks who actually like this movie are the reason Hollywood makes very few quality movies any more. If you don't care then why should they? This movie is so bad from the beginning. Numerous tornadoes pummeling a West Coast city and there are actually people flying in helicopters to get a closer look. That's a brainy idea. Buildings freezing and crumbling yet the people outside don't seem to be affected so much. The "walk" from Philadelphia to New York? And in record time no less. I do like the fact that they had the foresight to have Antarctic weather gear handy for just these occasions. What of the tent that was able to withstand the chill but not the Empire State building? Call your local Army Navy store....they really need to stock these tents. I also found it amazing that any lines of communications were not really affected, including the under freezing water pay phone. The only ones who had communications losses were, of course, the main characters.....ah drama!! I know they were in a library but you think they could have possibly tried to burn all the wooden tables and chairs around them? Seems that they would burn warmer and for longer than books. The acting was horrific, the directing was terrible, the script was unbelievably bad and the special effects were anything but special. It certainly rates up there with Godzilla 2000 and Armageddon......it actually makes Independence Day look like one of the all time greats!

I remember seeing this movie for the first time in late 2003, and I was impressed. I saw it again last night, and I was even more impressed. The acting is amazing, and the ending was brilliant. For me, all my guesses were incorrect. Everything that happens in this movie in unpredicted. The last half hour itself was highly unpredictable, and it had a powerful message. When a scene was meant to be dramatic, they did a great job at it. I don't know about everybody else, but the ending did make me cry. The message the movie sent kept me thinking for a while. The amount of courage and bravery was inconceivable, there was barely any faults or anything wrong with the movie. For a movie of 1995, they did a great job.
I absolutely guarantee this movie to anybody who enjoys action and war with a bit of drama mixed in. One of the best, or maybe even the best movie of the 20th century.

I thought this movie was very well done. It is an overlooked treasure. Ron Howard is a great film maker and he deserves more credit for this film. I'm a huge Ron Howard fan and I felt that this film was no better than any of his work done thus far. The dialog was a bit hard to understand, but the plot, acting and directing are what make the movie so great. Nicole Kidman is so beautiful in the movie and she really carries the movie with her charisma. Tom Cruise plays his part very well. The scenery in the movie is some of the best I've ever seen. It is easy to lose yourself in this movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone I know.

This is the type of a film that's never boring no matter how often you watch it. It deserved every single award it got. It's touching, it's timeless and it's downright beautiful. I'm not a huge friend of extended versions because there's usually a perfectly good reason to take something out of the film and none whatsoever to put it back again, if pleasing hardcore fans isn't a good reason - that's totally a matter of opinion. However, "Dances with wolves" is certainly an exception.
The nearly four hour version is the only one to be. Sure it sounds like it's too much but when you watch the movie it doesn't look a minute overlong and cutting even a second out of it would seem like a horrible crime. The original theater version was 52 minutes shorter which sound too cruel to be true. I mean really, what's there to cut? If you haven't seen "Dances with wolves" yet you have missed one of the greatest motion picture experiences of the 90's and you should do something about it instantly.

This is the best movie I have seen in quite some time. It will make you cry and it will make you laugh.
The movie is really full. It never lags a bit. You are involved and have to watch to keep all the characters straight. There are shenanigans going on and some are supposed which are not going on and it is a bit confusing if you are on the computer or otherwise diverted from really watching. And for that attention, you get a full story with multiple plot lines going on at the same time but without the choppiness that frequently comes with multiple plots. It is all woven together and feels so natural and flowing that I did not even think about it until I was writing this.
This is a must see for those who lived in that time and for those who would like to understand a bit more about how it was and never should have been. It is not over the top in any respect. The abuse leveled on the maids is just the right amount for the story and not overdone, either. They could have gone farther but it would have not been right and would have ruined the story. I am not saying it was right for them to be abused this way, but, sadly, it was accurate for the time of this story.
It hit home with me and I highly recommend it. It is a well crafted, full story that will leave you feeling that you have not wasted your time, not even a second in watching it as you watch the evolution of lives on both sides of the "color fence".

His dad wanted him to get his head into the game, because he was the playmaker in the " Wildcat Team ". At the end, his parents and Gaberilia helped him to do them in the same day. They were very smart, he and Gaberilia had got the applause . Doing something you can do is very important .

Pride & Prejudice (2005)
The story is based on Jane Austen's novel about five sisters - Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty and Lydia Bennet - in Georgian England. Their lives are turned upside down when a wealthy young man (Mr. Bingley) and his best friend (Mr. Darcy) arrive in their neighborhood.
Jane Austen's tale of love and economics reaches us once more with the energy of a thorough novelty. "Pride and Prejudice" has been a favorite novel of mine since I first read it and I've seen Laurence Olivier and Greer Garson, Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle and now Matthew MacFadyen and Kiera Knightly. Amazingly enough I've never been disappointed. The material seems to be full proof. Colin Firth's Darcy, in many ways, is the Darcy I've always imagined. He's been an actor I've followed feverishly since his glorious Adrian LeDuc in "Apartment Zero", Matthew MacFadyen was totally new to me but he managed to create that sense of longing that makes that final pay off so satisfying. Kiera Knightly is a ravishing revelation. I must confess, I didn't remotely imagined that she was capable of the powerful range she brilliantly shows here. The other big surprise is Joe Wright, the director, in his feature film debut which is more than promising, it's extraordinary. The photography, the art direction and the spectacular supporting cast, in particular Donald Sutherland and Brenda Blethyn, makes this new version of a perennial classic a memorable evening at the movies

The story of the film is simple.Rapunzel is a princess that has hair that has power to heal and keep people young, but once it's cut,it loses all power. When Rapunzel was just an infant she was kidnapped by an old woman who locked her away in a tower to keep her hair all to herself.Rapunzel grows up thinking that her kidnapper is in fact her mother, and the reason she's locked away is because her 'mother' wants to keep her safe from the hardships of the world.I'd tell you more about the movie but I don't want to ruin it.Let's just say she runs away.Very simple, fairy tale plot.

Although "Wuthering Heights" is Emily Bronte's only novel, published in 1847, it has long been considered a classic and is included in many literary canons. In the story Catherine and Heathcliff are friends who are also in a perpetual sexually frustrated state. They are constantly wishing they were with each other, even though they have relationships with other people. This passionate friendship leads to nothing but trouble, especially when there are other people involved. Both Catherine and Heathcliff are selfish and self-centered, and the result of their egotism strains the relationships all around them to the point of breaking.
Catherine ends up marrying Edgar Linton who is from the neighboring estate, Thrushcross Grange. They reside together with Edgar's sister, Isabella. In a rebellious state, Isabella runs off to marry Heathcliff. Edgar and Catherine have a little girl, also named Catherine (or Cathy), who is born just hours before Catherine (the elder) dies. Meanwhile, Isabella runs away from the tyrant Heathcliff only to find out she is pregnant with his son, whom she names Linton.
Cathy continues to grow up at the Grange under the care of her father, Edgar. Isabella becomes sick and dies. Linton is then taken in by Edgar, but when Heathcliff finds out he has a son, he takes the boy into his house at Wuthering Heights.
There were many times where the characteristics of the parent come out in the child. For instance, Catherine (the elder) was quite conceited and was used to having her way. There were many times where she was downright rude to the people around her and treated the servants with no respect at all. Even though Cathy never knew her mother, there were times when she was haughty and rude, especially when she met Hareton, her other cousin, and made fun of his vernacular speech.
After Linton was summoned to Wuthering Heights to live with his father, Heathcliff, his father was candid with him, noting his weakness and scrawniness. Linton eventually married Cathy. Almost immediately, young Linton takes on the telltale characteristics of his long-lost father. He tells Cathy that everything she owns is his, including all of her estate and even the locket she wears on her neck (at which he proceeds to tear from her neck and crush with his boot just to show her his power). Thus far, these actions seem quite out of place with Linton's past demeanor.
Children learn from their parents and other influential alts in their lives, even if the behavior isn't positive. In Cathy's case, she didn't even have to witness her mother's actions to mimic them in her teenage years. Linton didn't grow up with his father, but in a matter of a few years learned from his example in how to treat women. Although he did not have many positive male role models, he used what male role models were there, and it was the absent father figure who turned up later in life. He chose to behave like his father (perhaps to assimilate) rather than the upbringing his mother had tried to instill in him. He chose to believe his father's lies rather than what his mother had taught him before she died (which goes along with what his uncle and Nelly Dean told him). It is in human nature to imitate the parent figure of the same sex to a certain degree, even if it not right.

Kent State University's school of theatre and dance performed a rendition of the classic, Jane Eyre this month. The show was a musical with all of the necessary elements to lift you from your seat and submerse youinto a society in nineteenth century England from the time the cell phone shut-off announcement was made until the last note at the curtain call. The recurring arches, darkened, soft lighting, and the use of a classic chorus to go along with them alluded that a sinister underbelly of social status and reputation were present in the performance.
One of the first things that an audience member noticed was the grandeur of the set. It was composed of a gothic-style foreground with rustic twigs of a root-like earthy appearance. There were grand arches for windows and entries as well. Also, the background was a large arch with the silhouette of roots. There were also two matching greek-style pillar arches on either side of the stage. They added a lot to many messages of the show. For one, they were grand structures that were barren inside which is much like Mr. Rochester himself. He was a man of high social stature but felt enslaved by his trick of a marriage and his grand yet incomplete (without a true love) home. The arches also suggest the importance of reputation with the same sort of fundamental grand image yet emptiness. The way that people are enslaved yet scramble to ascertain that solid image amongst their peers. The arches were almost inviting the audience to come inside to reveal their secret, the thing that was hidden deep inside that could send the structure crumbling in ruin.

Choose award-winning film in accordance with the situation to determine when it is intelligent and labor-saving approach. But in the eyes of the judges can not and corner, the same multiple-exposure film at the glittering. Many fans may immediately give "The Shawshank Redemption (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION)" as an example, and in my opinion, there is also a film and "The Shawshank Redemption" as a great and touching.
The movie "Life is sweet of you" in English formerly known as Mr. Holland's Opus, which is most appropriate and elegant I've ever seen one of the translation. It is also translated do "Dead Poets Society 1996" - think "The Shawshank Redemption" as the year has been inexplicably translated as "to stimulate 1995", then the two fellow sufferers of the situation can be imagined.
In all disciplines, there is one thing most lacking in practical value, but also the most difficult to teach, this is beautiful. Like to play but not gifted? Blowing clarinet like a tuberculosis patient looked away as the wind changed tone? Come to see Mr. Holland taught him how female students: he stole music, telling girls that song in my heart, do not need to look at the. When the female students made no progress, he asked the girls a very strange question: "What is your favorite part of his face, what?" The answer is the hair of female students, because her father said her hair is like a sunset. As a result, Mr. Holland ears of female students whisper: "Well, playing the sunset bar!" This time, female students actually did.
In the beginning, Mr. Holland was only thinking to end his teaching career as soon as possible in order to complete his compositions became a great composer. But he eventually did not do it, it became a secondary school music teacher, and his case. He used music to change the fate of countless students. More importantly, he taught them what is the beauty of music, so that is no longer a boring life cycle, but the music, little candles flicker.

Rarely does a movie let you forget who you are and become the main character. This is one of those rare movies.
The movie starts out with a story that every Santa believer experienced. On Christmas eve a boy in Grand Rapids Michigan has reached the age where the statistical impossibility in the Santa story ( the size and speed of Santa's sleigh, the north pole being a barren wasteland) are causing him to doubt the big mans existence. Not knowing for sure the boy drifts into a deep sleep. At 11:55 PM the boy is awakened by the arrival of the Polar Express literally outside his front door. Going to investigate what is going on the boy meets the witty conctor of the Christmas eve train. (Tom Hanks)who informs him that the train is headed to the north pole so the kids can meet Santa Clause. Not totally sure that the train is going to the north pole but to curious to let it go the boy climbs on board. The adventure puts the boy in contact with a girl who is a natural born leader and who's belief in the Christmas magic couldn't be stronger. Other characters include a know it all socially awkward boy, a young underprivileged loner who has never experienced the magic of Christmas and a cast of other more mysterious characters such a a hobo ghost. Through the adventure the combination of great music, flawless animation and fantastic dialog really make you believe you are there and let you relive those days when you thought Santa Clause just might exist. The story ends on Christmas day with a line (narrated by Tom Hanks) about belief that brings back those kid on Christmas eve chills all over again. The themes of belief and friendship are a strong theme in the movie and part of the magic that brings you back to a time when you did believe. Its a great movie for children and alts alike and rekindles the Christmas magic that us alts lost many years ago.
